Annual art event Terrain 10 celebrates their 10 year anniversary with a two-day celebration in October. This event features local Spokane, WA artists, including CHF Business Accelerator Fellow Bethany Taylor. A visual artist who works in letterpress printing, Bethany also creates children’s books and is a co-founder of Millwood Print Works. “I decided to focus on one medium and studied ceramics intensively for a very long time. It was amazingly muddy. As I became quite skilled, I thought, ‘Maybe this is it, maybe this is the one.’ Then, I found letterpress printmaking, and it was love at first sight. It has been an extraordinary affair that has lasted more than a decade, and I seldom look back.” Read the CHF interview with Bethany in which she discusses her work and approach to business.
For an early look at the work, check out the event’s preview night on October 4th. In addition to getting a sneak peak at the art, local bands will play from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here.
