Maria Brophy Podcast Tops Charts

The Thriving Artist Podcast has seen 25,000 downloads since its 2015 launch and an amazing sequence of guests. The May episode “Every Artist is a Business Owner” with Maria Brophy is current record-holder for most downloaded. The more an episode is shared, the more it’s heard, and artists are hearing something they’re starving for. The interview covers having a business mindset, finding your niche, marketing an identifiable style, and pricing the work. This really underscores the educational purpose of the show. Besides other programs like local ‘boots on the ground’ training and graduate fellowships, CHF utilizes media formats artists ALREADY consume–podcasts, social media, blogs–to deliver on-demand education. Runner up episode is “Strengthening the Arts Community” with artist & CHF Fellow Gregg Chadwick.
