Art and Culture Center/Hollywood is hosting Vanessa Diaz’s site-specific installation To Receive an Intrusion by Observing What We Have. In her show, Vanessa uses familiar but discarded materials such as furniture and architectural elements in combinations which distort viewer expectations of both function and space. Her use of these objects is meant to evoke unfamiliarity between viewer and object and to provoke awareness toward different ways of living.
Vanessa Diaz’s Artist Talk takes place on Thursday, November 10th at 6:30 pm; and this exhibition is free with gallery admission.
