Painter Rebecca Bird creates highly detailed works that are rooted in primary experience–in vision and perception filtered through the experience of inhabiting a specific body, place, and time. She was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to Japan for her painting, and has exhibited her work throughout the US and abroad. Her pieces are in the collection of New York’s Museum of Modern Art.
