Finance and Administration Director
Shirley has a background in management, finances, budgeting, contract negotiation and document creation, infrastructure maintenance, government filings, personnel management, and property management. She has been the administrator of several trusts, a court-appointed conservator, and a guardian ad litem. She is also a singer/actor, composer, writer, poet, and teacher.
Although not affiliated with the visual arts, she is keenly aware that creative people need to put their financial houses in order if they are to have any kind of sustainable career. Being financially sound on the basics does not inhibit creativity—it frees it. As an ordained priest, she understands that the power of prayer does not pay the bills.
